PROJEKT AN EINER SCHULE IN GHANA

Endtime Academy

„The rain is coming“, „The rain is coming“ — the kids of Endtime Academy in Ghana are calling out. Moments later it starts to rain and we take shelter under the corrugated metal roofs of the school. Some are eating their lunch, others are working on their homework. After the pandemic, many students can no longer afford a private school. Only a few kids remain here. A private school — not in the way you would imagine one in Europe. The rooms are modest, the paint is crumbling off the walls, and not every room has a door.

Wall design together with the school: We renovated part of the walls by removing the crumbling facade, recementing it and painting it fresh. I took portraits of the individual kids and teachers and put them together digitally into a large mural. A local print shop printed this onto a sticker and together with the kids we applied it to the wall.
